full circle

today makes a year that ive had this blog.

i want to thank everyone for coming by and seeing what’s on my mind.

i didnt realize how much fun maintaining a blog would be.

and ive learned so much as a result of it.

hope that the following year is just as rewarding and that you all enjoy my thoughts every step of the way.

i love mr. kempff’s interpretation of beethoven’s moonlight sonata.

its exactly how i like to hear it played.

some painist embellish and i think the piece is meant to be played bare and poignant.

im so glad mr. kempff felt the same as i.

apparently its been confirmed that mary j blige will play nina simone in an upcoming biopic film.

i have to say those are pretty big shoes to fill.

one, acting period.

and two, playing NINA SIMONE.

im all for it.

i love mary and maybe this could be a good career transition for her.

ms. horne passed away yesterday and this morning when i heard the news i just cried.

i wasnt a fan per se, but i respected and loved her non the less.

i loved many of her appearances.

on sesame street or the one from the cosby show for cliff’s birthday.

but my favorite was when she was in the wiz as glinda the good witch.

her performance of believe in yourself still gives me goose bumps.

im gonna miss you ms. horne.
