for the last time, its kemet

October 18, 2010

i was never a fan of alicia and im not surprised that she and her husband obviously havent done any research on ancient africa at all.

had they read one book on egyptology they would have learned that egypt is actually a word given to the land by greeks.

the word egypt derives from the greek word aegyptos.

the actual black people that lived there called their land kmt, pronounced kemet.

meaning, black land or land of the blacks.

im not surprised that a deeper understanding of our history was missed by the dean family.

it appears as if there are many things this family does not understand with depth.

its nice to wear bindis and dress up in african garb.

but its also nice to take the time out to research the things you admire.

being a public figure aint easy,

to do it properly one must do alot of homework should they want to be taken seriously.

I agree. There are a lot of people that do what she does. They wear african garb and hairstyles. Its just decoration for them. However they have serious issues with when it comes to really accepting and understanding our heritage.
